SmartFields that have not been completed or require attention are displayed in yellow, serving as a clear warning. In contrast, SmartFields that have values are shown in blue, indicating that they are fully completed:
How to Use SmartFields
Using SmartFields is intuitive and straightforward. To create a SmartField, you can simply click on the SmartFields button and choose the desired SmartField from the available options. Some SmartFields are managed through a connection to a database, while others are simply user entry.
Let’s say you want to insert a Project ID SmartField. By clicking on the “Smart fields” button, you can choose the Project ID field and add it to your document. If you have configured the project ID in the dashboard settings, the SmartField will be automatically populated with the corresponding data. This means that any changes made to the project ID in the dashboard will be reflected throughout all the documents where the SmartField is used.
Editing SmartFields
SmartFields can be edited during the document creation process, whether in the “In Progress” or “Shared” state. However, once a document enters the “Published” state, it becomes authorized for use and can no longer be edited. This ensures that the final version of your document remains intact and avoids any accidental modifications.
