BIM Manager Bio Picture of Alonso for CV Resume

Let me introduce myself, describe my BIM journey, and tell you what makes my heart beat faster! I hope you enjoy my perspective on BIM! ????

About Me:

My name is Alonso, and I’m a BIM geek ????

Do you want to learn about what it means to be a BIM techie/nerd/dork? Great! That’s the reason you’re here, isn’t it?

Joking aside, I love all technology related to BIM, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and the like. I’m still learning about all of them, but I’m happy to share with you all my knowledge so far.

I graduated in engineering, participated in some information technology courses, and later worked as a 3D modeler and visualization designer.

Since then I have been active doing some Virtual Reality projects and trying to share my knowledge about this technology with others.

On the weekends you’ll find me flying my drone or having fun with my family and friends.

I also enjoy gaming, learning, and assisting other BIM managers.

On my blog, you can expect some tutorials, tips & tricks that will help you get started with getting the best from using BIM and new technology for design and construction.

Hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do writing it!

Cheers, Alonso.

Fun facts about me:

How did you get into BIM?

I grew up being interested in technology and creating things, and after I began my career as an engineer, I discovered 3D modeling. I realized that BIM was simply the ideal combination of both engineering and technology!

What is your BIM experience?

I have experience working in big companies, small companies and even doing my own business. I’ve worked on several projects involving BIM with varying sizes of teams, so I would say that my experience is somehow broad in this field.

What is your favorite BIM technology?

Virtual Reality (VR)! It’s the closest thing I know to actually walking in a building you haven’t yet finished designing or finalizing materials for yet.

I blog for the Five BIM Bloggers series.
