Who it's for Contractors

For contractors

Stop chasing subcontractors for files and dates

Plannerly helps contractors run ISO 19650 as the lead appointed party. Answer the tender with a BEP from your own template, get every subcontractor's TIDP agreed and signed in one MIDP, and check their models before your client does. Subcontractors join free, and Plannerly does the reminding.

Free plan, no card. Subcontractors never pay to join your project.

The problem

Why the delivery plan falls apart after the tender

Sound familiar?

You won the work, and became the reminder system

The BEP that won the tender sits in a PDF. The MIDP is a spreadsheet you re-issue every Friday, subcontractors swear they never agreed to their row, and missing model data turns up when the client finds it. The jobs below fix that, in order.

Your jobs, in order

The ISO 19650 jobs a contractor meets, from tender to the next bid

Turn the EIR into a BEP with AI

The tender clock is running and the client's EIR is long. Bring it in, start the BEP from the ISO 19650 template, and let AI draft a first answer to each requirement for you to check.

Step 1

Write the BEP

Stop rewriting the BEP after you win. Grow the pre-appointment BEP into the plan you deliver to, with each subcontractor writing and agreeing its own sections.

Step 2

Set the information requirements

Stop guessing what the client's EIR really wants. Split it into requirements each subcontractor can meet, by team and milestone, and issue each team only its own.

Step 3Episode 3

Run the MIDP

Stop re-issuing the delivery spreadsheet. Paste in the lists you have, give each line one subcontractor who said yes, and track files as they arrive against the plan.

Step 4Episode 1

Agree the RACI

A subcontractor who never agreed to its row can't be held to it. Give every deliverable one accountable company, and send each one a contract with only its own work to sign.

Step 5Episode 2

Scope LOD and LOIN at scale

Know what each trade must model, to what level and by when. Every element and milestone gets an owner, a level and a date, on one grid each subcontractor can see.

Step 6

Connect your CDE

Stop downloading subcontractors' files to upload them again. Connect the Autodesk hubs they already use, and each file that matches a request fills it in the plan.

Step 7Episode 4

Check every model with IDS

Catch missing model data before your client does. Give each subcontractor the client's requirements as an IDS file, and every model is checked automatically when it arrives.

Step 8

Make it your company standard

Stop starting each bid from the last job's Word file, old client's name and all. Keep your best BEP and scope as templates, and start every tender from them.

Step 9

Surviving the seven CDEs

Connect them. Keep them in step. Stop re-uploading. Most projects run more than one common data environment, so the single source of truth quietly becomes several and you spend your week re-uploading. How to keep every CDE in step with the agreed plan, so delivered files check themselves off and the dashboards move on their own.

Questions

BIM for contractors: your questions, answered

How do contractors use BIM under ISO 19650?
On most ISO 19650 projects the main contractor is the lead appointed party. You answer the client's EIR with a pre-appointment BEP at tender, confirm it after appointment, bring every task team's TIDP into one MIDP, agree who is responsible for each deliverable, and check the information before it goes to the client. ISO 19650 in one diagram shows where each step sits, and the free lesson on tender response tasks walks through the first one.
How do I get subcontractors to agree their deliverables?
Put each deliverable on the plan with one accountable subcontractor and a responsible person, and settle objections in comments on the line itself. Then one click makes each subcontractor a contract with only its own deliverables, RACI and timeline, sent for e-signature, with every signed version kept. Agree the RACI, and the UK BIM Framework's guidance on tendering and appointments.
Can tender teams see only their own part?
Yes. Permissions and roles control who sees what. On Pro you can invite prospective teams before they're appointed, as tender teams, and they see only the content you assign them. Appointed subcontractors edit their own work as editors, and viewers read and comment on what's shared. Roles and permissions, and compare the plans.
Do subcontractors pay to join?
No. Everyone you invite joins at no cost to them. On Pro, editors and viewers are unlimited, so every subcontractor can work on its own lines; on Free you're the editor and everyone you invite can view and comment. Pro is priced per project, not per seat. Compare the plans.
Will Plannerly chase late subcontractors for me?
It does the reminding you'd otherwise do by hand. Everyone assigned to a task is reminded 7 days before it starts, 3 days before it's due and again when it's overdue, and you can adjust the timings. The charts update automatically, so you see who is behind without updating a tracker. You still decide what to do about it. Run the MIDP, and how to schedule your scope.
Can we check subcontractors' models before they go to the client?
Yes. Give each subcontractor the client's requirements as an IDS file to check its own work, then bring each model into Verify, in any of over 60 model file formats or from Autodesk Construction Cloud. Every linked element is checked automatically, and each failure shows the team that owns the fix. Verify checks model information, not geometry: it isn't a clash detection tool yet. The 14-day Pro trial includes model checking. Model checking with IDS.
Does Plannerly work with ACC and BIM 360?
Yes. Your ACC or BIM 360 administrator enables the Plannerly app once per hub, then you pick the folders to sync, and your Autodesk permissions still apply. Files shared there that match a request in your plan fill it, and the charts update automatically. Connecting a CDE is part of Pro. Connect your CDE, and link your ACC or BIM 360 account.
How is Plannerly priced for contractors?
Per project, not per seat. Free covers your first five projects, with you as the editor. Pro adds the paid features in the modules you choose, with five projects included and editors and viewers unlimited, so every subcontractor can work in the plan. You can try Pro free for 14 days, with no card. See the prices.
