The problem

Why your method gets lost on every new client

Sound familiar?

Every client gets a copy of a copy of your method

Each new client starts from the last client's Word files, with the old name still in three places. Their task teams answer in their own spreadsheets, and proving progress means screenshots in a monthly report. The jobs below put your method into every project, in order.

Your jobs, in order

The ISO 19650 jobs a consultant runs for clients, in order

Make it your company standard

Turn your method into templates: your BEP, EIR, requirements and scope in one template project. Start every client from it, and offer each improvement to every project that used it.

Step 1

Set the information requirements

Stop rewriting requirements for every client. Start from ISO 19650 templates, the buildingSMART Data Dictionary or your own library, and hand over requirements teams can check.

Step 2Episode 3

Write the BEP

Stop starting every client's BEP from scratch. Start from your template, let AI draft the first answers, and agree each section with the client and the task teams.

Step 3

Scope LOD and LOIN at scale

Reuse your LOD and LOIN standard on every project: drag in your template, adjust it for the client, and hand over a scope the whole team can read.

Step 4

Run the MIDP

Set up the MIDP once, bring in every task team at no cost to them, and hand your client a plan that's agreed, signed and tracked - the same way on every project.

Step 5Episode 1

Agree the RACI

Give clients accountability they can rely on: one accountable company per deliverable, a signed contract per team, and evidence of what each one delivered.

Step 6Episode 2

Check every model with IDS

Run the same checks for every client: one set of requirements, an IDS file for their model authors, and models checked automatically, with charts you can hand over.

Step 7

Connect your CDE

Track delivery for clients without owning their CDE. Connect each client's Autodesk hub once, with their administrator's say-so, and matching files fill the plan.

Step 8Episode 4

Teach ISO 19650

Train client teams on the real workflow: a recorded guest lecture, a four-stage ISO 19650 assignment with marking criteria, and free courses with certificates.

Step 9

Surviving ISO 19650 Information Requirements with AI

Build it. Connect it. Just ask Javis. Most owners aren't sure what to ask for, and requirements copied from the last job create work nobody needs. Three ways into your project's information requirements - build on the Plannerly API, connect your own AI with Plannerly MCP, or just ask Javis - on one structure your supply chain can check against.

Questions

ISO 19650 for consultants: your questions, answered

How do BIM consultants use Plannerly with their clients?
Most start each client project from their own template project - requirements, BEP, scope and responsibilities - with SmartFields filling in the client's details. Then they invite the client and every task team, who join at no cost to them, agree who delivers what, and report progress from the charts instead of screenshots. Make it your company standard, and lessons from a BIM consultant.
Who owns the project - us or the client?
Whoever's account it sits in. Many consultants set the project up in their own account and keep running it. If the client wants it in theirs, a workspace admin on both sides can move it, with all its documents, scope, model checks and files intact. Move a project between workspaces or accounts.
Can we put our own branding on what we deliver?
Yes, on Pro: your branding on everything you export, from the BEP and the MIDP to each team's contract. Exports from the Free plan carry Plannerly branding. Compare the plans.
How do we keep every client project up to date when our standard changes?
Keep the standard in one template project and start each client project from it. When you improve a document there, projects that used it are offered the update, and version history shows what changed. Source templates in Docs, and version history.
Is there a partner programme for consultants?
Yes. The Certified Partner Program is for consultants, trainers and universities who use Plannerly with their clients, with training, certification and a place on the partner map. See the partner plans.
Can we get a client's organisation ready for an ISO 19650 audit?
The free ISO 19650 for Companies course takes an organisation through a readiness check, a gap analysis and an action plan to audit preparation, with a certificate. Pair it with your templates and the client has the evidence an auditor asks for. ISO 19650 for Companies, how to get ISO 19650 compliant and the UK BIM Framework's guidance on the information management function.
Can we run model checking as a service for clients?
Yes. Keep one set of requirements per client, export it as an IDS file for their model authors, and check each delivered model in Verify, in any of over 60 model file formats. Models are checked automatically and the charts update, so you report straight from the dashboard. Verify checks model information; it isn't a clash detection tool yet. Model checking with IDS, and IDS from buildingSMART.
How is Plannerly priced for consultants?
Per project. Free covers five projects, with you as the editor. Pro includes five projects with editors and viewers unlimited, so the client and every task team can work in the plan, and each project beyond that is priced on its own. Try Pro free for 14 days, with no card. See the prices.
