ISO 19650 templates (OIR, PIR, EIR, AIR, BEP, TIDP, MIDP, Responsibility Matrix and more)

We explain ISO 19650 BIM (Building Information Modeling) standards, share simple templates and practical examples to help become ISO 19650 compliant!

Is ISO 19650 important?

BIM standards have been developing for many years – there are multiple guidelines, principles and options available for BIM teams.

With so many options the topic of BIM standards has become increasingly confusing and many professionals are struggling to keep up.

Fear not!!

As an industry, we welcome the suite of ISO 19650 BIM standards to now provide a unified approach for Information Management 🎉

So YES – it’s particularly important to understand ISO 19650 if you use BIM (Building Information Modeling) on any of your projects.

Ok it’s important – so what is ISO 19650?

ISO 19650 is an international BIM standard that aims to consolidate the way the Information Management function is implemented.

ISO 19650 is a significant step for BIM in our industry.

However our industry does need a little more than just the standards documents.

To help our industry the UK BIM Alliance has done an amazing job to provide guidance to support these ISO standards.

…and now we can build on these standards and guidance with complimentary ISO templates and a software framework to simplify the implementation of ISO 19650 on your projects!
