About JTC
JTC Corporation, under Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry, is the national agency driving industrial infrastructure development. JTC manages the full project lifecycle - from planning and design to construction, facility management and estate rejuvenation - so accurate, structured data is essential for moving smoothly between project phases.
The challenge
With projects spanning many stakeholders and phases, JTC faced:
- An 11,000-row Excel document holding its Model Content Requirements (MCR)
- Manual, inconsistent compliance checks
- Different data expectations across consultants, contractors and FM teams
- No easy way to track model progress or data quality over time

What JTC did
In 2023, JTC started using Plannerly to host, standardise and automate its Model Content Requirements.
Gave every role its responsibilities
Modelling responsibilities were assigned with role-based filtering.
Automated the model checks
Weekly (or more frequent) model checks run automatically in the Verify module, with the results on visual dashboards using red, yellow and green compliance indicators.
Launched MCR 2.0
By 2024, JTC launched MCR 2.0, fully integrated with Plannerly workflows and aligned with IFC SG standards.
