What you'll do

  1. Learn who the appointing party is: the client, or the owner in the US.
  2. Learn who the lead appointed party is: the firm appointed to deliver, often the main (general) contractor or lead designer.
  3. Meet the task teams, the groups doing the work.
  4. Recognise the BEP, MIDP, information requirements and the CDE.

Why it matters

These words come from ISO 19650, the international standard Plannerly is built around, so they mean the same on projects all over the world. Agreeing them is where good teamwork starts.

Common questions

What is a lead appointed party?

The firm the client appoints to deliver the project's information. It collects what every task team produces.

What does MIDP stand for?

Master Information Delivery Plan. It sets out who delivers what, and when.
