Statuses that match your workflow

This video explains how to add the stages your team really uses as task statuses and give each a progress percentage, so people keep them up to date.

What you'll do

  1. Open the project's Settings and expand Statuses.
  2. Select Add new status and name it - for example Issued for Construction.
  3. Give each status a Progress % - say 10 for Started, 50 for Complete, 80 for Issued for Construction.
  4. Select Save. Tasks now show progress from their status, and cost progress can follow.

Why it matters

When statuses don't match how the team really works, people stop updating them and every task sits at ninety percent. Statuses people actually use make your progress reports honest.

Common questions

Why does Plannerly reject my percentages?

Each must be a different whole number from 0 to 100, and they must increase down the status order. Leave a middle status blank to make it workflow only.

Why can't I edit statuses?

You need the Manage Statuses permission on your project role.
