Lesson 40 of 40

Hand over the data the client asked for

This video shows you how to create the handover spreadsheet your client asked for, built from the requirements and tasks your project worked to all along.

What you'll do

  1. In File Manager, open Export, then Handover Data.
  2. Pick the work package you are handing over, or the final milestone and the teams. Give it a title and select Create.
  3. It is prepared in the background. When it is ready, download it.
  4. Open the spreadsheet: assets and their data, one column per information requirement.

Why it matters

Handover data that is built up through the project beats data typed in at the end. Define it once, agree who owns it, share it, then check it against what was agreed.

Common questions

Why can't I choose Handover Data?

The project needs the Scope module and at least one milestone, and your role needs the Manage Files permission.

Is it COBie?

Yes. The workbook has COBie's Contact and Facility sheets, plus your assets and their data.
