What you'll do

  1. Click the people slot on a section header and pick a member under Member, with the role R (Responsible).
  2. Select a sentence, choose Add Comment and @mention the person.
  3. Select Resolve once the question is sorted.
  4. For many sections, use Quick Assign and apply it to each section or category.

Why it matters

"I thought you were doing that section" is how BEPs stay half-finished. A named owner on every section means someone is responsible for each part.

Common questions

Why can't another Editor edit an assigned section?

With the default Editor role, once a section has an owner only that person can edit it. Managers are not limited.

Why is the person I want missing from the list?

Only people whose team can see the document can be assigned.
