Lesson 24 of 40
Turn the client's requirement matrix into scope and requirements
This video shows you how to turn a client's requirement matrix into scope rows and assigned requirements in one import, instead of rebuilding a spreadsheet of ticks by hand.
What you'll do
- In Scope, open Import, choose AI Import and drop in the spreadsheet.
- Choose Import as Scope and select Start import.
- On the review step, read the note that Plannerly recognised a requirement matrix and keep Requirements ticked.
- Select Create project content.
- Check the new scope rows, with their requirements assigned at the right milestones.
Why it matters
The client's requirements arrive intact instead of being retyped and slightly reinvented. AI Import is in beta, so look over the review before you create anything.
Common questions
What should the spreadsheet look like?
An Element column, a Parameter column and at least two milestone columns marked with Y, X or a tick. Use your project's exact milestone names.
Who can run it?
Project managers with permission to manage scope items, information requirements and their assignment.
