Lesson 21 of 40

Build your requirements list from a library

This video shows you how to fill a project's requirements list from a library or a spreadsheet, so you stop retyping the same property list on every project.

What you'll do

  1. In Scope, open Requirements and select Browse Library.
  2. Choose a template, or one of your own projects, and search for what you need, such as wall properties.
  3. Select Select Filtered, then Add Selected.
  4. Check the new rows, each with its group, rule and value, and the count beside Requirements.
  5. Working from a spreadsheet? Use Import requirements (CSV) and start from the example file.

Why it matters

An agreed list means every project asks for information the same way, instead of from memory. You need the Manage Information Requirements permission.

Common questions

What if the Templates menu is empty?

Templates depend on your account. Use My Projects to copy requirements from a project you already belong to.

Can I bring in a spreadsheet?

Yes, as a CSV file. The dialog has a Download Example CSV File link showing the layout.
