Lesson 12 of 40

Share for review, then publish

This video shows how to share a BIM Execution Plan section for review in one place, then publish the agreed version so it is locked.

What you'll do

  1. Change a section's status from In Progress to Shared.
  2. Set a consultation deadline, choose who to notify and select Apply.
  3. Let reviewers suggest edits right in the text.
  4. Accept the suggestions you agree with, then set the section to Published.

Why it matters

You stop emailing "final final" versions around and review in one place. Published sections are locked, so everyone reads the agreed version. It is the same journey ISO 19650 describes for project information: work in progress, shared, then published.

Common questions

Why can't I choose Published?

Editors can Share but not Publish. A manager, or a role with publish rights, can.

Why can't I edit a Shared or Published section?

Both are read-only. Return the section to In Progress to edit it.
